Visit The Forest

The Drew Forest is located on the Drew University campus in Madison, New Jersey, not far from the Giralda Farms Preserve, Loantaka Brook Reservation, and the Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge.

36 Madison Avenue, Madison, NJ 07940

Directions to the Drew University Forest Preserve:

Enter Drew University’s main entrance on Lancaster Road from Main Street or Madison Avenue. Park in the first lot, the visitor lot, to the right of the guardhouse.

From the visitor lot, continue walking away from Main street and further into Drew’s campus along the road to the next parking lot that opens to campus buildings to the left and athletic fields to the right. Follow the sidewalk along the athletic fields, leading down to the baseball outfield. Trails for both the Zuck Arboretum and the Hepburn Woods begin at the end of the sidewalk, bordered by deer protection fences.

Gates to the Drew Forest preserve are not locked. To enter, lift the gate latch. Please close the gates behind you to protect those restored ecosystems and the future forest from deer.
